Byron's
Unbound Works

Page 6

I hadn't done any serious art in some time. I started my new job and the travel doesn't leave much time.

I don't know what came over me. It was the sight of unused bristol board laying around I guess. I grabbed a spare piece, cut it to 6x8 and started this drawing.

I had a vague image of this in my mind when I started. I had been juggling so many things in my life that I wanted to capture that feeling. The drawing began with an abstract head and hands and worked outward from there.

An interesting note, while I drew, I noticed the ink wasn't drying as expected and I would sometimes smudge a line. So to hide the flaw, I created solid areas within the figure.

I didn't want this drawing to become another black and white so I pulled out my colored pens to find the only one that worked was the red one. I gave this to a friend of mind who has since hung it on his wall. Cool.
