Fabriano Down Under: Book #5

PAGE 26

While we waited for our airplane, we sat in big white rocking chairs at the airport. After a few hours, they are no longer comfortable so I walked around. When I returned, my travel partner had fallen asleep in one. I don't know how, but she did.

She was facing away from me and that's not an angle I normally draw. I decided I needed some practice and I hoped she wouldn't mind.

Unfortunately, doing a portrait in pen is really hard. I didn't get it right but I got the basic essence of it at least. I wish my brain didn't always take reality, transform it into abstract and then force me to retranslate it back into reality on the page.
